I just finished working a week in Walton County, Florida. I am so excited about the new initiative there in grades 3-5. They are using my model for Tier 2 (triple iii) instruction. After sitting in the Atlanta airport waiting for a flight that was 5 hours late, I am now in Newport News, Virginia. I am working in two districts this week. On a personal note, my oldest daughter spent her first night at work in the ER as a nurse in Mississippi. Susan, my Costa Rican missionary got a new dog. Jennifer has started nursing school and Harrison is having a great time at the University of South Carolina. My husband and dog (Skyler) will be joining me in Pensacola next week. I really miss both of them! Hope that your year is off to a great start!
Best,
Beverly

Never a Dull Moment

I'm sure that most of you back at work and some of you even have students! I spent the last 2 weeks working with 2 school districts in Florida. I developed a reading intervention model (grades 3-5) for one district and conducted a Kindergarten institute for another. I never get tired of the excitement that each new year brings. We took my son, Harrison back to school this past week end...he was moving into his first apartment at the University of South Carolina. Anyone out there from Columbia? I would love to keep a closer eye on him! As we were driving home, the double axile trailer disconnected from the hitch..let's just say that I almost ended my consulting career. By God's grace, my husband managed to get us off the road safely.Nothing in my life is ever boring! Talk to you soon!
Best,
Beverly

Happy New School Year!

It is hard to believe that it is already time for a new year to begin..
